How families like yours are paying for a ذكذكتسئµ education
Families just like mine? Really?
Really. ذكذكتسئµ has undergraduate students from all economic backgrounds.
Take a look at the family income distribution (2023-2025 average) for students applying for financial aid:
How much does ذكذكتسئµ cost?
To answer that, let’s first discuss sticker price.
Total undergraduate "sticker price"
ذكذكتسئµ's "sticker price" is is $55,200 per year. That includes:
- Undergraduate tuition ($42,120)
- Housing ($5,380 for the dorms)
- Food ($7,700 for a meal plan)
This number can vary depending on specific choices for housing and food. It is daunting, but most families pay less.
How do you determine the price I'll pay?
We're glad you asked! This is where financial aid comes in.
First, we subtract academic scholarships.
Academic scholarships can be up to $20,000 based on merit. If you have a 3.0 GPA or higher, you are guaranteed an academic scholarship.
Then we subtract named scholarships.
Named scholarships average between $2,500–$5,000. We award over 1,400 every year.
Next, we see if you're eligible for other grants and awards.
We subtract any grants and awards you qualify for. For instance, with our Knight Promise, new first-year students receive renewable grants for visiting and for submitting the FAFSA.
You may also qualify for need-based grants like federal aid (Pell Grants), state of Michigan aid, or ذكذكتسئµ's need-based grants.
What's left is what we call your net price.
Your net price is often significantly less than the original sticker price. It is the amount left over after scholarships, grants, and awards have been applied.
