FALL SEMESTER
24 HOUR THEATRE (FALL)
Registration deadline: Thursday, September 17 at 1:30pm
Kickoff Event: Friday, September 18 at 7:30pm in the Lab Theater (lower level of Spoelhof University Center)
Performance: Saturday, September 19 at 7:30pm in the Lab Theater (lower level of Spoelhof University Center)
Looking for writers, directors, actors, and stage crew! All levels of experience welcome!
Do you have an interest in theatre? Have you ever wanted to write an original play? Think you would like to direct a show? Do you have 24 hours to spare? 24 Hour Theatre is for you! Groups of students write, rehearse, and perform original 10-minute plays in 24 hours or less, with a free public performance starting exactly 24 hours later. (Saturday, September 19 at 7:30pm.)

AUDITIONS
THE MIRACLE WORKER (drama), a Main Stage production, directed by Brad Cain, Adjunct Professor of Theatre
Casting 12-16 actors
Auditions will be held on September 21 and 22 at 6:30pm in the Lab Theatre (lower level of Spoelhof University Center)
Callbacks are by invitation only on September 24.
For auditions, please prepare a dramatic monologue of your choice, no longer than 90 seconds in length, OR a pre-selected monologue (linked in the registration form above).
Callbacks will consist of readings from the script.
Rehearsals start the week of September 28, with two rehearsals during the week (evenings) and two rehearsals on the weekends.
Performances are December 4-11.

SPRING MUSICAL (title announced January 1, 2027) and AN EVENING WITH IONESCO (comedy)

Auditions will be held on November 4 and 5 starting at 3:30pm (location to be announced)
Callbacks for both productions are by invitation only on November 6.
AUDITION DETAILS
MUSICAL auditions will consist of:
1.) A contemporary musical theatre song of your choice (1980s-present) that tells a story and/or gives you a storytelling moment. No longer than 5 minutes in length. Please do not sing a song from the production itself. (If you do not know the show we are auditioning for, please reach out to a CTC staff or faculty member for the details.) If you need help selecting an audition song, please reach out to CTC staff/faculty for guidance.
2.) A monologue of your choice, no longer than 90 seconds in length.
IONESCO auditions will consist of a comedic monologue only, no longer than 90 seconds in length.
Note: if you are auditioning for both productions, you only need to prepare one monologue.
PRODUCTION DETAILS
AN EVENING WITH IONESCO (comedy), a Lab Series production, directed by John Scritchfield, Creative Director and Visiting Lecturer of Theatre
Casting 6-9 actors
Cast read-through of the script on December 7. Rehearsals start on January 11, with the cast needing to return to campus one week early from Christmas break.
Performances are February 5 and 6.
