Colorado service joins alums and students
The first-ever alumni-student spring break service project was inspirational to both groups. Doing flood relief work in Boulder County, Colo., members of the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ community assisted residents in construction efforts in local towns. Alumni from both Michigan and Colorado teamed up with ÐßÐßÊÓƵ students from many locations in March to be God’s hands, in partnership with coordinators from World Renew. Alumni Walt ’66 and Carol Battjes Ackerman ’67 gave the team an opening preview of the disaster and relief effort and alumnus Cal Van Heukelem ’69 coordinated the work site.
