Historical Studies Colloquium: Faith and Learning: Historical Perspectives on the "Perennial Problem" at ذكذكتسئµ

Faith and Learning: Historical Perspectives on the "Perennial Problem" at ذكذكتسئµ

ذكذكتسئµ College’s report to the CRC Synod in 1952 included a section on “That Perennial Problem of Integration.â€‌ Were faculty doing it effectively and in properly Reformed ways? This talk surveys the history of the “perennial problem.â€‌ It focuses on the 1900s to 1960s, examining competing visions of “integration.â€‌ ذكذكتسئµâ€™s integrative ideal reflected wider trends among Protestant, Catholic, and secular schools. ذكذكتسئµâ€™s approach, though more consistent by the 1950s and 1960s, continued to evolve and generate debate into the twenty-first century.
